Paul is an extremely competent driving instructor. He is calm,
friendly, diligent and reliable. I did not start driving until my 30's
and I was very nervous when it came to getting behind the wheel of a
car! Paul arrived and explained how he was going to teach me how to
drive. He immediately instilled a sense of calm and confidence. Every
instruction that Paul gave was delivered clearly and he actually made
all my driving lessons very enjoyable experiences. Paul never once lost
his temper or shouted, he showed great patience, which at times with
myself as a pupil he needed! Anybody who chooses Paul as their driving
instructor will not regret their choice. Even after I passed my test
Paul's advice is still adhered to by myself today and I have even
managed to pass some onto my wife who has been driving for 15 years!

Paul taught me to drive in 2008/2009. I wasn't a particurlarly fast learner
and pauls patience and guidance really helped me to gain a good grasp of the

I had previously had three exam attempts before I decided to learn with Paul. After
a few lessons, it was clear that there was many things that I had not been taught
that probably would have enabled me to pass my driving exam. Eventually I began to
gain more confidence in my driving as Paul showed confidence in my abilities and
always tried to make each lesson positive. After a couple of months of lessons, I

I booked my driving test on boxing day without taking a lesson. I needed
to get my licence as quickly as possible due to work requirements. I left
myself twelve weeks to pass, and considered myself to be aware of the road
as such and its laws. After my first lesson with River City Driving School, i was a little
shocked at how little i really knew. Anybody can steer a wheel and press
the peddles, but the facts are you need a lot more control and awareness of
your surroundings amongst other things.
Paul started teaching me, and his teaching methods were excellent and were
varied to suit the problem being discussed. I never felt pressured within the car due to the relaxed but effective teaching style and still today i tell other people about my driving lessons and how much i enjoyed the
learning expierence.
I passed my test at the very first attempt and only received 1 minor
observation and this was all achieved in an incredibly short time. Frankly,
